Beech Foundation began operations in 2001 with a mandate to support arts programs for children in the Vancouver, BC area.

Board of Directors

Paula Palyga

Paula Palyga is a retired corporate/securities lawyer. She has served on several non-profit boards, including those of the Polygon Gallery and Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation for Young Artists.

Cheryl Stevens

Cheryl Stevens is Executive Director, Principal Giving at the University of British Columbia. Her experience includes other senior development roles with UBC, the Vancouver Art Gallery and the YWCA of Vancouver and a prior career in human resources management. Passionately committed to visual and performing arts, she is currently vice chair of the Ballet BC board, has served as board chair for The Polygon Gallery and on the board of Music in the Morning.

Alison Molloy

Alison Molloy recently retired from the federal government after over 35 years of public service in social justice programs. She is an avid supporter of arts education programs and international children’s aid.
